Born and raised on the Dutch Caribbean island Curacao, I moved to Chicago at the age of 18 to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Art degree at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where I concentrated in fashion design and construction. With a passion to follow the fashion brands I respected, I moved to Australia and New Zealand to continue work in the fashion industry. In 2014, I moved to London for a chance to root myself in my European heritage. There, I ultimately gained experience in the “fast fashion” industry which was a contrast from the luxury brands I had previously worked for.
